Public approval of U.S. President Joe Biden has dropped to the lowest level of his presidency, with Americans appearing to be increasingly critical of his response to the coronavirus pandemic, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll.

The national poll, conducted Sept. 15-16, found that 44% of U.S. adults approved of Biden’s performance in office, while 50% disapproved and the rest were not sure.

I wonder how he's polling in France?

Careful of citing Ipsos: Art will laugh at you.

Boehlert's take:

Here are the Biden approval ratings from last 15 polls posted at
FiveThirtyEight, minus the Rasmussen surveys, which are notoriously
pro-Republican: 46, 44, 47, 47, 49, 47, 48, 42, 48, 49, 47, 44, 47, 50, 48.

If you take out the high (50) and the low (42) data points, the results
have been markedly consistent this month. Where’s the plummet?

You really think all the shit Biden's caused world wide has had no
effect on his approval? Really? ....Wow.
No, it went down about 4 points.

Quinnipiac has him at 42 percent now...down from 46 in early August.
FiveThirtyEight is slow to reflect because it takes a long time for so many polls to be updated.
No one is doing daily anymore but Rasmussen. Some aren't even doing monthly...only quarterly.
Some quit when they don't want the bad results. Others wait for election cycles to get active.
You take Quinnipiac out as an outlier when in reality they're just current.

Yes, as I said, down about 4 points.

How long does it take to update a spreadsheet? The last update was Friday.

I what? Well, I guess you can muse on polls all you want.

Anyway, the point is that Biden is down just as most presidents are this
far in but not "plummeting" which is the narrative supplied by a media
looking for drama, a media that treated Trump as popular while his
approval was consistently in the thirties.
